I’m an engineer.
I’m a printmaker.
I learn. I master. I work. These three words define me. In the end, nothing really replaces work. My creativity comes from introspection and from understanding who I am as a person and as an artist. The subject of my work comes from my engineering background. Printmaking is where I can express my creativity and my passion. My work takes its strength by simplicity and minimalism. Strength depicted boldly in black and white because they are absolute in their intrinsic form, and they can’t exist without one another. I combine fundamental design principles with fabric as my drawing tool, resulting in one-of-a-kind prints. My prints step outside of the strict discipline of printmaking; I don’t conform to rules. Perhaps I break rules as printmaker because I can – something I cannot do as an engineer. It’s a balancing act
